GSTA offers individual dialup accounts for modem users. Standard accounts have unlimited interactive hours of use each month which means no additional charges for time online. All dialup accounts provide full Internet access with email, WWW, and other access features. All accounts receive 5MB of personal storage space for file transfers and/or personal Web pages. Shell access may be obtained upon request.

The information below details our dialup account options.

SLIP and PPP are two functionally equivalent ways of making a full internet connection to your personal computer. Most SLIP/PPP users obtain this type of account for a graphical interface to the Internet under Windows, MacOS, OS/2, or other graphical operating systems. This account also includes a terminal/menu-based account.

GSTA recommends a 14,400bps or faster modem for SLIP/PPP, although 9,600bps will be usable. We have a starter package of software available for Windows 3.x/95 and Macintosh users. In addition, most commercial, shareware, or freeware Internet software should work with our system.

OTHER SERVICES

GSTA also provides several other types of services, including fixed IP address service, dedicated 33,600bps dialup accounts, domain name registration, leased lines from 56K up to T1 and above, special corporate bulk rates for dialup accounts, and commercial/organizational World Wide Web services.
